Heath helping Stanley surge up the table

JOHN Doolan said he would let his players decide whether Everton loanee Isaac Heath should be credited with the latest goal in his stunning run of form.

The 21-year-old appears to have won the battle to be awarded Accrington Stanley's opening goal in the draw at Crawley on Saturday.

Isaac Sinclair, who was mobbed by teammates when his side took the lead, even appeared to acknowledge the goal should go down as belonging to Heath.

Replays clearly show Sinclair's strike hit Heath before crossing the line - though the young attacker was attempting to get out of the way of the ball, which was heading in.

The goal is Heath's second in consecutive weeks after he opened the scoring in Accrington's 3-1 League Two win over Bristol Rovers last week.
