SCHOOLGIRL 'LEFT WITH NO FEELING IN LEG'

Dog attack in street left my teenage daughter needing surgery

A SCHOOLGIRL phoned her mum screaming before collapsing after she was attacked in the street by a dog.

Kerris Gledhill, from Norris Green, underwent surgery yesterday after a suspected XL Bully “latched onto her leg and punctured deep holes into her.”

The 16-year-old was on her way home from a walk at Croxteth Park with her miniature dachshund when the dog reportedly came charging down Beversbrook Road in Norris Green and attacked her. Her mum Demi-Lee Gledhill, 32, recalled the terrifying attack, which happened on Tuesday at around 4.20pm.

She said: “She'd seen the XL Bully running down the street so she tried to hide behind a car. She shouted to a woman who was also on the street to ask if it was her dog, but she said no.
