Avoid Sancho pitfalls, Saha warns Dibling

TYLER Dibling has been backed to be an England star of the future - with the hope that he doesn’t “disappear” like Jadon Sancho.

While still with Borussia Dortmund, Sancho made his England debut aged 18 in 2018 and by the time he joined Manchester United for £73million in 2021, he was one of the hottest properties in world football.

Still only 25, the winger now finds himself surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, having been loaned back to his previous club in the Bundesliga, then Chelsea - who paid a £5million penalty this year not to sign him permanently - and he has now gone on loan to Aston Villa for this season which will take him up to the end of his contract with the Red Devils.

Dibling joined the Blues on August 25 for an undisclosed fee - understood to be £35million which would make him Southampton’s record academy sale - but so far he has only played half an hour of first team football with his new club, off the bench against League One Mansfield Town in the Carabao Cup second round.
