Calls for FM to take action

Douglas McAllister, Scottish Labour MP for West Dunbartonshire, has formally written to John Swinney demanding that he personally recall the planning appeal for ministerial determination after the Scottish Government overturned the local Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Planning Authority's unanimous rejection of the Flamingo Land's Lomond Banks planning application.

The Scottish Government issued its decision on May 16, confirming it had decided to grant planning permission subject to a Section 75 agreement between the planning authority and Flamingo Land Lomond Banks which, in reality, will be reached and agreed.

The move has been slammed as "unacceptable" by Douglas McAllister, who claims a number of residents have been in touch to express their 'disgust' at the decision.
