Leicester Lions 26, Rams 38 National League 1

RAMS deservedly took the spoils in a game where their pack was just too strong for a Lions pack all aged 21 and under.

The visitors opened the scoring on six minutes, with the ball moved wide for impressive winger Oliver Rhoads to crash over. Michael Cooke kicked the conversion.

Lions hit back almost immediately and Bronson Mellowes continued his recent run of tries by powering over. Luke Bouchier's conversion levelled the scores at 7-7.

Rams retook the lead just minutes later when impressive hooker Max Hayman scored from close range.

Lions had a period of pressure which led to a yellow card for Rams.

The home side decided to take the pragmatic approach this week - with Bouchier slotting the three points.
