Woman tried to smuggle ketamine into castle festival

A WOMAN who had dozens of bags of a Class A drug concealed on her was caught out by sniffer dogs.

Sophie Donovan had been attending a festival at Belvoir Castle when the dogs alerted handlers.

Donovan, 22, claimed the ketamine was to help with her anxiety.

Prosecutor Ravinder Daroch revealed the scale of the drug haul at Leicester Magistrates’ Court.

She said: “There were multiple packets - 40 to 50 bags of white and pink powder.”
