Homes plan for village gets passed

SIX-ACRE SITE TO BE DEVELOPED

DOZENS of homes have been approved for a village.

Bellway Homes will build 64 homes on a six-acre site off Old Gate Road in Thrussington.

The developer has been asked to provide £1.2 million towards facilities and services.

Steve Watson, vice-chairman of Thrussington Parish Council, asked members to refuse planning permission, arguing the village struggled with sewerage.

He said: "Sewage in the streets is very unpleasant but it's something we've been experiencing for years in the lower lying areas of Thrussington."
