A FORMER mayor and long-serving chairman of Charnwood Stroke Club has been honoured by the installation of a plaque in a park.
-
Mavis Mason served on Charnwood Borough Council for a total of 15 years, first representing Cossington and later Sileby. She served as Mayor of Charnwood from May 1991 to May 1992.
She was chairman of Charnwood Stroke Club for many years, until shortly before her death in 2022.
