Former detective involved in prison smuggling

A FORMER police officer is among four people who took part in “flying-to-order” drugs by drone into a Leicestershire prison.

The drones also contained mobile phones and other prohibited items which were smuggled into the prison throughout 2021 and 2022.
Former Detective Constable Clare Davenport, 50, was involved alongside Peter King, Kent George and Mervyn Foster.
The illegal act saw drones flown “to order” into HMP Gartree in Market Harborough and HMP Onley in Northamptonshire.
