Care home plan rejected due to disturbance and crime concerns

CHANGE OF USE APPLICATION: A Google view of the house

A NEW care home has been rejected amid fears of crime and antisocial behaviour.

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council gave five reasons for its decision to throw out Mr N Shkukani's plan which had sparked a number of objections.

Mr Shkukani had been looking to change the residential home in Lowick Drive, Wigston, into a care home.

Plans noted that the change of use would be from a three-bedroom house to a three-bedroom care home. It did not state whether the care home would be for children or adults.
