Learner driver 'left in lurch' as test is pulled with two days' notice

Teenager booked test four months ago, but his new date is now not until September

FED-UP learner Corey Bloor's driving test was cancelled at the last minute now he's having to wait until September for his new date with the examiner.

The 17-year-old had been booked in for four months to sit the test last Wednesday, only for it to be cancelled on Monday owing to a lack of examiners.

Now the Cheadle teenager has to wait until September 29 for his test.

His dad Steve said: “He's devastated. He's got a little car already so he just sees that.”

Corey is paying £160 a month for driving lessons, which means he will have to shell out more than £600 between now and the end of September.
