The end of an era as brothers close city centre clothes store

Brothers who have helped dressed men in the city for five decades are preparing to retire.

Mr Jethwa, currently in Lune Street, is one of the last independent clothing shops standing in the city.

But Bharat and Ramesh say it is time to put the measuring tapes away one last time later this year.

The pair took on the shop from their father, which originally began in Church Street in 1974, and they've been measuring up men's jackets, suits and more ever since.

Bharat, 73, said: "We've had so many messages from customers, not just in Preston but beyond since we announced we are going to close.
