Watkins is full of praise for Innes

Kilmarnock Standard

Marley Watkins paid tribute to fellow striker Innes Cameron as he looks set to end his time at Rugby Park.

The local lad made his Killie debut in December 2016 - but has started just 10 league games during his time at the club.

The 24-year-old was in tears as he joined his team-mates on a lap of honour around the Rugby Park pitch following their final game of the season earlier this month.

The striker, who has netted eight times in 80 appearances for the club, is expected to leave when his contract comes to an end this summer.

Watkins, though, hailed Cameron's influence on the squad despite being restricted to less than 300 minutes of action this term.
