Ayrshire Commander hails proactive work for reduced incidents
Efforts to tackle the trend of fire crews being attacked on Bonfire Night have been effective according to a fire chief.
Ayrshire Fire Commander Kevin Murphy told South Ayrshire Council's Services and Partnerships Performance Panel that there was no violence against crews on November 5, with a halving of the number of incidents requiring their attention.
