Volunteers can help with basic first aid

- ELINA KOBZAR

The Street Pastors service expanding to Irvine and Kilmarnock, following success in South Ayrshire.

For the past ten years, the service has been patrolling town centres in Ayr and Prestwick on Saturday nights between 10pm and 3am.

Chair Richard Wiggins said he was “excited” to announce that there will now be an expansion into Irvine and Kilmarnock.

He said: “The Street Pastors will patrol on a Saturday evening rather than Saturday night.

“There will be different challenges compared to Ayr and Prestwick but we are looking forward to sharing the love of Jesus in a practical way that enables people to enjoy their night out and get home safely.”
