Owler wins county double gold and then shines on his England debut

TOMMY OWLER was the star of the Kent County Athletic Association Track & Field Championships as the Folkestone Running & Athletics Club member scooped double gold.

Owler won the senior men's 400m and 200m at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford over the weekend of May 10-11, even though he's still an U23. Other Folkestone members to shine at the event were Tristan Suberu who won gold in the U15 100m, while Thomas Webb won bronze in U17M javelin and 400m hurdles, and Abigail Smith took silver in the U17 discus.
Personal bests were recorded by Sam Voyle in the 300m and 200m, Guy Slingsby in the 1500m and 800m, Oliver Hawkins in the 100m, Jake Davison in the javelin, Louis Pang in the 800m, Lily Rockall in the long jump, Niah Spencer in the long jump and Poppy Duncan in the 1500m.
