PROBE PATROLS TARGET ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
RAMSGATE Town Council has approved a new six-month initiative to boost public safety and confidence in the town centre, appointing a private security company to provide patrols seven days a week.
The decision comes in response to significant challenges caused by deprivation and antisocial behaviour.
Ramsgate faces significant poverty issues, with its town centre identified as having the highest deprivation in Kent according to 2025 data, while the wider Thanet area is considered to be one of England’s most deprived local authorities.
