BROADSTAIRS Cricket Club faced The Mote CC in an away fixture that showcased moments of brilliance, but ultimately ended in disappointment.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Broadstairs’ innings was anchored by a masterful century from Prinann Dutta, whose classy performance provided a lone bright spot in an otherwise subdued batting display.
Despite Dutta’s heroics, the lack of substantial contributions from other batters meant Broadstairs could only muster a total of 201.
This score, while respectable, was always going to be challenging to defend on an away ground.
Broadstairs’ bowlers put in a commendable effort, chipping away at The Mote batting lineup.
