JOURNALIST SPENDS 17 HOURS AT UK'S BIGGEST WETHERSPOON PUB

- By MICHAEL MORAN

Counting the cost of a day in the Pavilion

RAMSGATE'S Royal Victoria Pavilion - the biggest Wetherspoon pub in the British Isles - stands out for several reasons.

Aside from its sheer size, and its stunning seaside setting, the Pavilion is also notable for its long opening hours, with the potential for customers to stay at the bar from 8am to 1am.

And a Daily Mail journalist who recently visited the town and spent the full 17 hours in the Pavilion was surprised at how affordable he found the bill.
