Yellow alert for wind blast

Warning for all 26 counties as gales sweep in

A STATUS Yellow wind warning has been issued to all 26 counties ahead of what is set to be a wet and very windy day across the country tomorrow.

The alert, issued by Met Eireann yesterday morning, indicates that very strong and gusty southerly winds will arrive in the early hours ofm tomorrow and continue to make an impact until the evening.

Coastal areas are set to be the worst affected, with gale-force winds possible while the warning is in place from 3am until 9pm.
