A Grand adventure in entertainment capital of the world
Vegas in all its glory below, Rachel with chef Mark LoRusso Berg at The Bellagio Fountain Club and at the Giada at The Cromwell
WHAT happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... unless what happens in Vegas is that you meet international superstar Mark Wahlberg. Then all bets are off!
I have been to Las Vegas before and I had, or at least I thought I had, seen and done it all.
But much like playing a game of craps, you never know what way the dice will fall on a trip to the entertainment capital of the world - and that is the beauty of Vegas, it still manages to surprise you even after it's shown you its cards. Or, in this case, should that be cars?!
Last month, I visited Vegas for the third time and while you should never say no to a trip to Vegas, I certainly doubted whether this time round the city would still have the same appeal.
I needn't have worried because what I quickly learnt after landing is that Vegas is a city that never rests on its laurels - reinventing itself time and time again to keep tourists coming back in their droves.
One of the most recent strokes of genius from the powers that be was to bring Formula 1 to the Las Vegas strip - and since 2023, motorsport fans have been flocking to the city each November for what is now a huge highlight on the sporting calendar.
So while this wasn't my first trip to Las Vegas, it was my first time at a Grand Prix - and it brought a new energy to Vegas that I hadn't experienced before.
COLOURS
As soon as we touched down at Harry Reid International Airport, you could feel the buzz as F1 fans sported their colours, with Ferrari hats and Red Bull jackets as far as the eye could see.
I, myself, am a McLaren fan, of which there were also plenty, courtesy, of course, of CEO Zak Brown being American.
