JACOB RAMSEY says he is back to his best and believes it won't be long before Marcus Rashford is, too.

The Aston Villa midfielder scored the goal that helped seal the club's first FA Cup semi-final appearance in a decade with the 3-0 victory at Preston on Sunday.

That followed a brace for on-loan Manchester United star Rashford.

And Ramsey, who had a miserable campaign last term with a string of toe injuries, feels he is not far from reaching the form that once hinted at an England call-up.

He said: "It's been coming for quite a while. I spoke after the Champions League game with Celtic and thought my form was improving.

"It's so hard coming back from injury after injury. You feel like you are getting there, and then you get another niggle.
