GAA TOPS MOST POPULAR POLL

GAELIC GAMES continue to be the most popular sport in Ireland - according to the findings of the 2025 Teneo Sport and Sponsorship Index (TSSI).

Gaelic football, ladies football, hurling and camogie received 21 per cent of the vote, narrowly finishing ahead of men's and women's soccer in the poll.

However both Kerry and Tipperary's All-Ireland wins fell well short of the exploits of the Ireland soccer team in the team of the year poll.

It's the first time since the research began that the Ireland football team was named Team of the Year, securing a huge 25 per cent of the vote after lifting the nation with wins against Portugal and Hungary to secure a place in the World Cup playoffs.
