Pick-up truck passenger, 19, mourned by his friends and loved ones online

- BY PAUL HEALY Crime Correspondent

TRIBUTES have poured in for this recently married young man who died in a horrific crash this week.

Jerry Maloney, 19, was a passenger in a pick-up truck when it crashed on the Barretstown Road in Newbridge, Co Kildare shortly after 8pm on Thursday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash and transported him to Naas General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Since then family members and friends have paid tribute online, noting how Jerry had married wife Chloe in January.

Brother Gerry Maloney posted: “Oh God why, life will never be the same without you. I loved you so much, I'll never be the same without you. We will never have them morning chats every day.

“Was just talking to you this morning, could talk for hours. Beautiful brother.”
