No hurry to get Government going

WELL lads, do ye remember when we had a general election, nearly five months ago, with the winners promising change and action?

Well, here we are, a long way from November 29th, and our new(ish) Government is just about getting round to finalising the Oireachtas Committees that do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to policy and progress.

Of course, that doesn't mean they have started actual work!

Oh no, it'll be a few weeks at least before they are fully up and running, but sure, with the world as quiet and calm as it is and no major issues facing Ireland, what's yer hurry?

By the way, one of the committees we are waiting on to start work is the new Defence and National Security one.
