Star Tommy can’t Hyde his delight

CORK super-middleweight Tommy Hyde continued his unbeaten run at the Parochial Hall last Saturday.

The 26-year-old stopped Mexican opponent Paul Valenzuela in the second session of a bout that was scheduled for eight rounds.

Hyde, who now plans on moving up to 10-rounders, said: “I'm so happy with my performance, as I knew before hand that I was fighting a quality opponent and he wasn't making the long journey to Cork just to make up the numbers.
