CONSUMERS are more concerned about food cost than nutrition and safety, according to a new survey.
Shoppers in Ireland ranked cost (66%) as the most important consideration before nutrient content (51%) and food safety (48%).
The Irish results for cost, nutrient content, and food safety are higher overall than the EU average for cost (60%), nutrient content (39%) and food safety (46%).
