Rainy welcome for Masters star and Poppy..but there's no sign of wife Erica
Irish Daily Star
|April 19, 2025
RORY Mcllroy got a wet and windy welcome back on Irish soil after his private jet touched down at Belfast City Airport yesterday.
The Masters Champion had said he would return to the North to reunite with his parents and celebrate the career Grand Slam.
And McIlroy kept his word, jetting in on his Gulfstream G650 with his daughter Poppy.
His jet was seen landing at the airport just after 11.30am and Rory disembarked moments later carrying his daughter Poppy.
However, his wife Erica was not on the plane with them.
He was then taken to a private part of the airport before being driven away.
Conveniently for McIlroy, his family home is only a five-minute drive from the airport as he continues celebrating his Masters triumph.
Fans have been tracking McIlroy's private jet with the grand slam winner landing in Surrey earlier in the week.
