The exciting talent, burdened with a comparison to Denman after he made a winning hurdles debut at Cheltenham, was being pointed to the Grade One Challow Hurdle on December 29.

But Nicholls added the Grade Two Betfair Winter Novices’ Hurdle to his schedule and was relieved to see No Drama This End coast to a five-length victory to become the new 6-1 favourite for the Turners Novices’ Hurdle in March.
