MEYLER: MY FAMILY KEY TO RETURN

CONOR Meyler admitted there were times he wondered if he'd ever don the Tyrone jersey again after making his comeback following a near two-year injury nightmare.

The Omagh St Enda's clubman had been sidelined with a series of knee and Achilles injuries and suffered various setbacks in his bid to get back playing for club and county.

Shortlisted for Footballer of the Year when Tyrone won their fourth All-Ireland crown in 2021, Meyler's last appearance for the Red Hands prior to Sunday was the 2023 All-Ireland quarter-final loss to Kerry.
