Beatles legend Paul opposes EU sausage bid

PAUL McCartney is backing a bid to stop the EU banning words like “sausage” and “burger” from vegetarian and vegan products.

The ex-Beatle, 83, co-founded Meat-Free Monday with daughters Mary and Stella in 2009, while his late wife Linda set up a plant-based food brand, which continues to sell sausages, burgers, pies and more.
