THERE was a time when frayed-jumper-wearing hippies in Galway were so happy to see the whole of the moon they sang a song about it.

The rest of us were getting on with things like work

They were larking about pretending to be fishermen while waving musical instruments at the same time.

But times change. These days, west of Ireland folk are too busy handing arts grants out to make a song and dance of it.

And now it's everyone else who is looking to the sky, not content to see the moon, or the whole of it... now it has to be a 'super moon'.
