India Day is postponed after attacks

INDIA Day celebrations in Ireland have been postponed following a “spate of violent attacks” on members of the community in recent months.

Hundreds of performers and volunteers had been preparing for the event at Farmleigh House in Dublin's Phoenix Park on Sunday.
The Ireland India Council's co-chairman said making the decision to delay the celebration was "very difficult".
Prashant Shukla said the event started in 2015 and this had never happened before.
