SKY has been on a mission to get users away from its older satellite dish technology for some time.

IN A GLASS OF ITS OWN

The firm's first broadband-powered TV arrived in Ireland all the way back in 2022, and this was followed more recently by the much-loved Sky Stream box that arrives in the post and simply plug into existing tellies.

These devices use your internet connection to beam content to your big screen, and they've become hugely popular.

Sky told Irish Daily Star recently that these two devices now make up more than 90 percent of its new sales.

And if you are thinking about ditching your dish and switching to streaming instead, a new product has just arrived that should excite you.

I've been testing out Sky Glass Gen 2 which is already on sale and offers some key improvements over the firm's original broadband-powered television. As long as you have speeds of around 50Mbps, you will have no issues watching shows and movies in dazzling 4K without any stuttering.
