JACK CALLS DARRAGH COMMENTS 'STRANGE'

JACK O'Connor says he found Darragh Ó Se's criticism of his Kerry management team earlier this year 'strange.'

In an interview with An Pod Gaeilge, O'Connor also told of an incident a few years back where he got into difficulty swimming in his local St. Finian's Bay and thought, “that was the end of me.”

In the discussion, conducted in Irish, O'Connor also told of how his son Cian saved a swimmer from drowning near their South Kerry home a fortnight ago.

Jack O'Connor led Kerry to a fifth All-Ireland title this summer and has agreed to a new two-year term.

This year was difficult though in spells as Kerry fell to a surprise All-Ireland group stage by Meath, before recovering to defeat Armagh, Tyrone and Donegal en route to the Sam Maguire.
