For Eze, kids' cup is just as important as one he won at Wembley

EBERECHI EZE wheeled away in celebration, and possibly disbelief, jogged towards the corner flag and then sank to his knees in joy.

A beautifully-controlled side-foot finish had just put Crystal Palace ahead of Manchester City in the FA Cup final under the Wembley Arch and a glorious blue sky.

There may have been 74 minutes to play against a highly-talented team but for Eze, while the moment was a dream, it was the journey that was most on his mind.

A journey that started a few miles away on the other side of London had brought him to this stage and a couple of hours later, he was on his knees again, celebrating Palace's first major trophy, with his strike the only goal.
