GERRY Adams has told a court he does not recall how many people were killed in IRA atrocities.

There were sharp exchanges between him and a barrister for the BBC at Dublin's High Court as he was quizzed about a number of terror attacks.

The former MP and Sinn Fein leader was testifying in his defamation case against the broadcaster at the court.
