Mulholland in the driving seat
-
DON'T get your wires crossed - back TRANSMISSION for the William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase (2.20) at Cheltenham today.
Neil Mulholland’s (above) eight-year-old began last season with a 15-length second to Hyland in a novice chase at this fixture before going one better in a handicap chase at the November meeting.
He didn’t add to that tally but Transmission still has the scope to do better after just five outings over fences and a BHA mark of 132 - he receives 15Ib from Hyland - looks within range.
Champion jockey Sean Bowen's mount SPRINGS A GIRL appeals in the opening William Hill Each Way Extra Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (1.10).
Martin Keighley’s mare marked her fencing debut with a staying-on second in a similar event over two miles at Worcester last month and should benefit from tackling an additional four furlongs.
Emma Lavelle’s (above) horses are in fine form as the jumps season goes through the gears and MA SHANTOU gets the vote in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle (2.55).
