Evolution of hurling promised

GAA president Jarlath Burns has revealed a Jim Gavin-type committee is to be set up for hurling.
But unlike Gavin's radical FRC committee, this new body will NOT be seeking to dramatically change the game's rules. Instead evolution rather than revolution will be the policy.
Burns revealed: “No one believes that we need a Hurling Review Committee to the same extent the FRC was so necessary.
“However, the success of what has happened in football means it makes sense for us to see where hurling could also benefit.
