Peters: We'll deal with Mikey's NRL ambitions when the time comes

Willie Peters remains unconcerned about Mikey Lewis' NRL 'dream' after admitting the England international has been upfront about his Australian aspirations from the beginning.

The KR boss instead is focused on developing his influential half-back, and says he will deal with a potential move 'if and when the time comes.'

The 23-year-old is one of the premier half-backs in Super League, and recently revealed his NRL ambitions, speaking on Sky Sports' The Bench Podcast with Jenna Brooks and Jon Wilkin.

However, the reigning Steve Prescott Man of Steel is currently contracted at Sewell Group Craven Park until the end of 2028.

Rovers boss Peters says Lewis has always been upfront on his childhood dream - but is concentrating on the the star's current development.
