Fugitive wanted under POCSO Act arrested

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) apprehended Sandeep Kumar, a fugitive wanted under the POCSO Act and other charges, from Marwatia Kurmi village, Siddharthnagar, on Sunday.
LUCKNOW:
The case, registered at Manpada Police Station, Dombivli, Maharashtra, involved rape and sexual harassment allegations dated December 10, 2024.
Acting on Maharashtra Police's request, STF officers, including Dy SP Dharmesh Kumar Shahi and Inspector Satyaprakash Singh, coordinated efforts.
On January 4, the joint team, with Manpada Police Sub-inspector Ganesh Bhavad, located and arrested Kumar.
He was presented at Kapilvastu Police Station, with Maharashtra Police set to handle further investigation and secure his transit remand.
