A 16-year-old boy was robbed of his phone then beaten up three weeks later in a "cowardly and vicious" attack.

Emma Shaw, 24, and Lee Bonner, 26, admitted robbing the lad in January last year and assaulting him the following month.

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard he was alone on a cycle path near Bellshill Road, Uddingston, when Bonner and Shaw accosted him about 8.30pm.

Bonner grabbed the boy's phone, a bank card and a Young Scot card, saying to him: "If I see you or your pals kicking about you're getting done.
