Cadzow team create three-course dinners for the needy
Helping others Staff were working in the kitchen on Christmas Day
Bighearted staff at a Hamilton bakery which recovered from a devastating fire earlier this year spent Christmas day in the kitchen cooking up free festive dinners for those in need across Lanarkshire.
The team at Cadzow Bakehouse on Quarry Street were up early as Santa arrived, spending the day creating dozens of three-course feasts of soup, roast dinner with all the trimmings and their signature desserts which they then distributed to grateful recipients.
It was the third year the team and family members have cooked up a storm on Christmas Day, and was a happy conclusion to round off a year in which their two bakeries had an enforced months-long closure after the business' previous production kitchen at Hillhouse Industrial Estate was destroyed by fire.
Cadzow Bakehouse staff and family members were in their Quarry Street kitchen from 6.30am to make up nearly 70 full festive meals which were then delivered to 20 households not just across Hamilton but also to recipients all over North and South Lanarkshire.
