Sports team crowned 'pride of South Wales'

One of the teams - Bridgend club KFC Scoffenheim - was named as the programme's Team of the Year after being described at the event as “the pride of South Wales”.

Accepting the award on behalf of the team, assistant coach Jean-Luc Howe said: “I have had the honour of being in a team that took the ethos of Man v Fat to heart from the get-go. You know, the pitch is your reward, the scales are where everything matters.

“It’s been a life-changing experience for me, but it wouldn’t have been possible without everyone on the team.”

Bridgend player Dave Hughes was also named as the programme's Community Hero for 2025.

He said: “Although it’s my name on it, it is a club thing. We tend to support causes that are close to us.

“We've supported Cerebral Palsy Cymru, which is an amazing charity working with children who are struggling, families who need therapy to help them understand what their children are going through.
