'One that got away' for Sidmouth as Cornwood grab game for victory

SIDMOUTH skipper Luke Bess felt the 52-run defeat at home by Cornwood should be filed in 'the ones that got away' folder.
Cornwood's total of 201 all out on the Fortfield turned out to be worth more than it looked - as Sidmouth found out when they were dismissed for 149 with more than 14 overs unused.
Bess believed it was an opportunity lost as the game was there for the taking.
Said Bess: "Having lost the toss, and been asked to bowl, we were in control for 75 per cent of the game.
"Two-hundred and one shouldn't be enough at Sidmouth, even with Elstone and Gaywood getting decisions that went against us.
