Bradninch & Kentisbeare open up a 22-point lead at top of the Premier

Chasers Paignton were only nine points in arrears going into round eight of 18, but lost a sizeable amount of ground following a 55-run home defeat by Cornwood.

Louis Morison - 31 off 16 balls - and James Horler (20) made early runs for Exmouth, prior to Dan Pyle (76) and Lachlan Fisher (35) embarking on a fourth-wicket stand of 87.

Having reached 158 for four with more than 21 overs to go, and six wickets in hand, a final total of 205 all out with more than eight overs remaining was a definite underachievement.

Bradninch & Kentisbeare spinner Josh Farley had a field day as Exmouth faded.

Farley was none for 16 midway through his 10-over allocation - and five for 32 five overs later. Those stats included a hat-trick spread across two overs: Elijah Pyne and Lawrence Greenway to start, followed by Pyle to complete the set.
