Pub garden gig so much fun, Annie's back to do it again

BROOKLYM-BASED SINGER RETURNS TO THE SCENE OF HER TRIUMPHANT SUMMER SHOW

IT WAS a big success last year, so Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Annie Keating is returning for a second “garden gig” with her band at the Chequers pub in Ticknall this Sunday (September 28).

And, as last year, the unusual setup of the gig is that it is free but people are asked to bring cash for a collection to cover the band’s expenses.

The format was a step into the unknown last year in the middle of Annie's annual autumn tour of ticketed venues.

But close to 200 people came to watch and the band went down a storm.

"Last year, the Ticknall gig was one of the absolute tour highlights for me and the band," says Annie.

"It was a free, late Sunday afternoon show, outside a village pub and honestly I had no idea what to expect.
