Pair held on suspicion of explosive offences bailed as hundreds are allowed home

TWO men arrested following a warrant at an address in Derby have been bailed as inquiries continue.

The men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested on suspicion of explosives offences.

The men had been held in police custody since the warrant was executed on Thursday morning (December 4) in Vulcan Road, Normanton, and extensions to their time in custody had been sought while investigations continue.

But Derbyshire police say there "has been no change in the direction of the investigation, it is still not being treated as terror related, and there is no information to suggest any wider risk to the public".

The men, who are both Polish, have been bailed to an address elsewhere - and a scene remains in place at the Vulcan Road property.
