Unlike dad, Eubank Jr says he'll encourage his kids to get in ring
FOR Chris Eubank Jr, the sins of the father begin and end with his dad.
Ahead of his rematch with Conor Benn tonight Eubank Jr revealed he is expecting twin boys next year.
And so the fighting dynasty will continue - if not the family feud, which stretches back almost four decades.
A rivalry that began with the fathers in Birmingham and continued in Manchester will be concluded by the sons in London, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 35 years later.
Benn, who has a son and a daughter, quickly shot down the mere suggestion of a third generation settling their differences in the ring.
And that will not be the only contrast between Eubank Jr and his old man.
He will keep his family’s private life hidden from prying eyes, not lay it bare for the world to gawp.
He will expose his sons to his boxing career, not attempt to protect them from the sport's dark side.
