App-y days: Want to find the cheapest petrol near you? Sites including PetrolPrices and my-RAC, can help. They monitor the up-to-date prices on thousands of forecourts nationwide.
Savings in store: At supermarket filling stations, prices are often up to 5p per litre cheaper. Avoid motorway service stations, which tend to charge the highest rates.
Weight to go: Extra weight in your vehicle means you use more fuel. Before you set off see what you can take out, like that sports equipment or tools.
